Beware of bacteria. Speaking of eye make-up鈥o not use mascara or any other eye product that is older than a few months. Bacteria that have grown in the make-up would love a new home in your eyes, and will cause your eyelids to swell. well, dark circles usually mean low iron, buy her iron supplement pills, to take once daily ((although, i would recomend not getting them as her christmas present, maybe just as a kind jesture)) go to Sephora, maybe, and as for something from them, they're GOOD, a little expensive, but if it's her present, and she sees the label, it'll be a good gift! you could get like a gift set.

Mine improved loads by using Olay eye gel, drinking more water %26amp; getting good sleep, they hardly ever look baggy now, but if no creams are working then maybe surgery. She`had seen an answer I gave about how vigorous face massaging had got rid of my acne and also removed my bags/circles. The massages greatly tighten skin under and around the eye area and the bags go away.
The most helpful massages are: Using both hands together (1) Do long up and down sweeps close to nose from chin area up to near eyes. (2) Do another up and back at an angle from chin point to cheek bone. (3) Do fast up and down massage close to eye from cheek bones at an angle of 45 degrees (on your crows feet). If do all 3 for several minutes daily - will markedly tighten skin and diminish the circles in the first two days. Use any oil. Olive is good. To avoid skin pulling first make skin taught by partially opening mouth and pulling lips firmly back against teeth(tightens most of face)
Additionally a facial yoga exercises helps a great deal. Find on Youtube. Do the ';The lion face'; and try to hold for 30 seconds. A variation of that is protruding the tongue as if trying to touch tip of nose with tip of tongue

The most helpful massages are: Using both hands together (1) Do long up and down sweeps close to nose from chin area up to near eyes. (2) Do another up and back at an angle from chin point to cheek bone. (3) Do fast up and down massage close to eye from cheek bones at an angle of 45 degrees (on your crows feet). If do all 3 for several minutes daily - will markedly tighten skin and diminish the circles in the first two days. Use any oil. Olive is good. To avoid skin pulling first make skin taught by partially opening mouth and pulling lips firmly back against teeth(tightens most of face)

I'm 45 and one month ago I woke up with my eyes swollen shut, having had an allergic reaction to something (still not sure what). Another option, Benefit's ';Oh La Lift'; It comes in a tube with a wand (like lipgloss) and you can put it on over OR under makeup. It works! Depuffs and makes you look fabulous! I actually use that one!
ok there is this stuff it is called premier it works really good. It is pricy but it is worth it. Premier is all natural from the dead sea. They should seel it in a lot of places.

The way the eye cream works is that they deposit the cream/ fat into the part beneath your eye. So in fact, your eyes are absorbing the cream and not processing it. That is what makes the eyes appear more plump.
For this reason, I wouldn't do so. Just keep your eyes refreshed with cucumber in the morning/ before bed, for a more natural and healthy look. This and enough sleep will keep the wrinkles away.

A few I can recommend here:
1) Avon has good formulas in creams (for dry skin) and lotions (for oily skin). Different ones have SPF for sun protection during day. Different price ranges, too, for different protection levels, so check their main site or ask a rep. Cheaper ones work fine, without all the extra $$ paid.
2) CVS has about the same in many brand names lines and their own CVS line: cream is for dry skin; lotion for oily. Their CVS brand works fine. Also has SPF options.
3) Other brand names like La Roche have cool gift sets this time of year for the holidays. Look for gift sets at malls and online specials. Check review sites for help on choosing types for yourself:

How well does Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream work? I've just started using it for my dark undereye circles.
I'm not sure about the Neutrogena but BeautiControl has Regeneration Time To Go Time Capsules with Retinol Eye Serum that you use every other night and everyone I know that has used it LOVES it. Personally I don't have trouble with dark circles so I haven't tried it. But two of my friends have had people comment on how the appearance of their eyes. I am in my mid twenties, and looking to start using an eye cream. I wear contacts so I'm pulling at the skin around my eye everyday to put them in. Wrinkles is my main concern but I also have dark circles as well. ThanksBest eye cream/gel to prevent wrinkles?

She should try getting more rest first and foremost. Drink lost of water (sometimes those circles come from dehyration), use a sunscreen under hereyes, put cooled cucumbers on her eyes every day, and get more vitamin c.

Sleep sweetie I'm afraid is the only ';cream'; needed there however a concealer can be used to make them less noticeable. I myself use Revlon concealer for skin imperfections but I guess it might be a trial and error for your sister to make sure she doesn't have a skin allergy to any first. I know I can't use the ';cover girl'; brand. Hey congrats too on your graduations, well done sweetie and all the best of wishes to you and your sister xx
Dark circles are genetic, so I'm guessing that's what your sister has. There's no possible way to lose the dark circles under your eyes, but your best bet would definitely be a concealer that matches her skin tone, drink plenty of water, and just get a good nights rest!

I often have puffy eyes and bags from my allergies, and I use Garden Botanika's Rejuvenating Eye Treatment, .5 oz. for $22.00. Seems to work pretty well and it's good for sensitive skin.

This is going to sound like a smart-alek answer, but it's really not. Preparation-H works well. Just be absolutely sure not to get it in your eye. It will shrink the saggy tissues and has been a trick used in Hollywood for years (not that that makes it the best option). If you're not up for that, Mary Kay has some eye cream that works well. It used to be called ';Triple action eye cream';, but I think there's a newer generation that works even better. You'll have to call a Mary Kay rep to find out the name of it.

The only thing I know to make your dark circles lighter is to get enough sleep and use a brand of fade cream under the eyes to lighten the color to blend in with the rest of your face.
The brand of fade cream have to work good on your skin. Example, if you have oily skin, normal or combination skin type........please buy the fade cream for that skin type or you will run into problems.
Take into consideration the skin type right beneath your eyes....be careful that's a sensitive area.

I accidentally got face cream in my eye?
I felt it on my eyelashes, then my eyes started stinging and now they are kind of red. I've done this accidentally before but I don't think the quantity was as much.
